Meet 
Dr. Margarita Huezo

Dr. Margarita Huezo is passionate about providing personalized, compassionate eye care and building meaningful relationships with her patients. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences and has been caring for patients in Bakersfield since 2013. In 2018, she established Pinnacle Optometric Eye Care, where she continues to provide individualized care centered on each patient's unique visual needs.

For Dr. Huezo, one of the most rewarding aspects of being an optometrist is helping patients achieve their visual goals and improve their quality of life. She genuinely enjoys getting to know her patients, understanding their individual needs, and helping them make informed decisions about their eye health. She believes that exceptional patient care begins with listening, taking the time to thoroughly evaluate each patient's concerns, and ensuring that everyone feels valued, heard, and comfortable throughout their visit.

Over the years, Dr. Huezo has been deeply grateful for the trust the Bakersfield community has placed in her practice. Pinnacle Optometric Eye Care has received recognition in the Best of Bakersfield awards every year since 2022, an honor she considers especially meaningful because of the continued support of the community she serves.

Outside the office, Dr. Huezo's passion for care extends to her own family. She and her husband, Dr. Rafael Huezo, a local family physician, are college sweethearts who share a deep commitment to patient-centered, relationship-based healthcare. Together, they are raising two boys and enjoy spending time as a family. She loves cooking for her family, reading, and traveling together, often cheering on her children as they pursue their interests and activities. They are proud to call Bakersfield home and to serve the community both personally and professionally.
